Corona virus situation worse in July than March-June, more deaths

Mumbai: India’s Covid-19 vaccination tally has reached over 205 crore. But still the cases of corona are not taking the name of stopping. In the last two months, the maximum number of deaths and corona patients have been recorded in July.

According to data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there were 5.67 lakh cases of Kovid-19 and 1,241 deaths in India in July. The death toll in July was the same as that of May and June combined. While there were 827 deaths due to corona in May, it came down to 486 in June.

The year began with the outbreak of the Omicron variant of the corona virus in India. The death toll in January and February was more than 10,000. The death toll started declining in March and the figure reached 7,300. In April, that number dropped to 2,674.

In January, corona patients were more than 64 lakh every month. In February this figure came down to 16.21 lakh and in March below one lakh. At the same time, less than one lakh corona patients have been found in the country in April and May.

In June, the cases reached close to three lakhs. On Friday, 20,551 cases of corona were reported in India and 70 deaths occurred. So far 5.26 lakh deaths and 4.41 crore cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in the country. So there are 1.35 lakh active cases.
