In the backdrop of political upheaval in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray may resign. According to sources, Uddhav Thackeray may resign by this evening. Earlier, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s tweet also surfaced, after which speculations were being made that Uddhav Thackeray would resign.
Earlier the Maharashtra Assembly was expected to be dissolved, tweeted Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut. Amidst the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has indicated to dismiss the assembly. He tweeted that ‘the journey of political developments in Maharashtra is towards the dismissal of the Assembly’.
Sanjay Raut tweeted that the assembly may be dissolved due to political developments. Earlier, talking to the media, Sanjay Raut said, “As much as possible, our government will go to the state. We can return to power, but the image of the party is paramount.
Rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena in Guwahati
In Assam’s Guwahati, there are 40 rebel MLAs led by Shiv Sena’s cabinet minister Eknath Shinde. All the MLAs had reached Guwahati on Wednesday morning by a chartered flight from Surat. The MLAs from Maharashtra were taken from the airport to a luxurious hotel in a police bus. Earlier, during the rebellion, Eknath Shinde had camped in a hotel in Surat along with Shiv Sena and other independent MLAs.
