Haridwar: Swami Muktananda, an early associate of yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna, died suddenly on Friday night. After which a wave of mourning ran in the entire Patanjali family. The body of Swami Muktananda was brought directly from the hospital to Kripalu Bagh Ashram. Whoever heard about this incident ran towards the ashram. People associated with Patanjali also started gathering at the ashram at Kankhal at night itself. Although the cause of Swami Muktananda’s death could not be ascertained, but it is being told that he died due to cardiac arrest.

According to the information, Swami Muktananda’s health deteriorated at around 10.30 pm on Friday night when he was at his residence at Kripalu Bagh Ashram in Kankhal. At this time, first of all, Acharya Balkrishna and the people of the ashram immediately took him to the Metro Hospital in Sidkul, but by then it was too late. The doctors declared him brought dead. By this time yoga guru Baba Ramdev and others had also reached the hospital. After which the body of Swami was taken to Kripalu Bagh Ashram in Kankhal.

Let us tell you that Swami Muktananda is one of those few people, who not only saw Patanjali traveling from floor to Arsh, but also played an important role in it. Sanskrit scholar Swami Muktananda had been teaching Sanskrit to students at the graduate and post graduate levels for the past several years. He used to teach Vedas, Sanskrit texts and grammar to all the sanyasis and other scholars. Swami Muktananda, who has a keen interest in spirituality, is considered one of the old associates of Baba Ramdev.

The founder trustee of Divya Yoga Pharmacy was: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev had established Patanjali Ayurved established in the year 2006, but 11 years before that he had established Divya Yoga Pharmacy. He founded this company to prepare Ayurvedic medicines and herbal products. This company is operated by his Divya Yoga Mandir Trust, whose founder Swami Muktananda used to work as a trustee. Apart from this, he was also its treasurer.

Swami Muktananda was knowledgeable about herbs: According to Patanjali Group’s website DivyaYoga.com, Swami Muktananda, born in 1956 in West Bengal, was instrumental in the functioning of Divya Yoga Pharmacy. Swami Muktananda, who did science graduate and post graduate in Sanskrit, had been playing an important role in preparing medicines.

It is said that he had good knowledge about herbs. Often he used to travel to the mountains of Uttarakhand and Himachal. So that better herbs can be identified for medicines. Swami Muktananda was a specialist in preparing Chyawanprash and Amrit Rasayan. He had more than 15 years of experience in preparing medicines and identifying herbs.

All three have been together since the time of the Guru: Let us tell you that the Divya Yog Mandir Trust was started by Swami Shankardev, who was the guru of Baba Ramdev. In which Baba Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna and Swami Muktananda were included as founder members. Divya Pharmacy operates under this trust. This was the first time for Baba Ramdev, when he had entered the business world. After this, Patanjali Ayurved was started in the year 2006, which is today the flagship company of the group. In such a situation, it can be said that since the initial race, Swami Muktananda has had a close relationship with Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.
