Approval for maintenance, strengthening and construction of Forbesganj Faena Path of Araria
Araria 03 Aug(H.S.). Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna-3, the way has been paved for the maintenance, strengthening and construction of the Farbisganj to Faena road in Araria district. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the work of upgradation, widening, strengthening and construction along with the maintenance of this path in a length of 34 km will be done at a cost of Rs 18 crore 44 lakh 05 thousand, for which administrative approval has been received and Rural Works Department has given this effect Order has also been issued. The information was given by the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tarkishore Prasad.
He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-3, by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, 35 districts of the state are Araria, Arwal, Aurangabad, Banka, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Bhojpur, Buxar, Chhapra, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gaya, Gopalganj, Jehanabad, Jamui, Kaimur, Katihar, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Lakhisarai, Madhepura, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Nawada, Patna, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Samastipur, Sheikhpura, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Siwan, Supaul and Vaishali districts have Prime Minister’s Village Roads to the state Approval has been given on the dedicated detailed project report for the approved paths and bridges under Scheme-3. Under this, a total of 280 paths, whose length is 2172.04 km and estimated amount is 1384 crore 59 lakh and 84 bridges have a length of 3570.64 meters and its estimated amount of Rs 218 crore 77 lakh has been approved. Out of this total sanctioned amount of 1603 crore 36 lakh, the amount of state share is Rs 650 crore 21 lakh.
He said that in this sequence, approval has been given for construction, upgradation, strengthening, widening and maintenance work of 34 km length from Forbesganj to Faena road under Araria district at a cost of Rs 18 crore 44 lakh 05 thousand. He said that the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Central Government. Through this scheme, the government is working with commitment to provide better facilities for the movement of people in rural and urban areas. With the construction of these roads, the general public will get better facilities of transportation and will also help in the maintenance of roads.
