Ahmedabad: Fire safety mock drill conducted at Ahmedabad airport, training for safety of passengers in case of emergency

Ahmedabad of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel (SVPI) Along with providing convenience to the passengers, the airport is also giving more emphasis on security. The airport management has also entrusted the work to different agencies. For the convenience of the passengers, regular monitoring is also being done at the airport with special arrangements. Also necessary training and instructions have been given to the employees. Not only this, along with all the arrangements for the safety of the passengers in the aircraft, necessary training has also been given to the staff. However, to address the question of how to save the lives of passengers during a plane landing or an accident, a fire safety mock-up at Ahmedabad airport today. drillwas organized.

A small old debris plane caught fire on the side of the runway of the domestic airport and crashed while landing. After which various teams were informed along with the fire brigade and local arrangements. And Timo reached the spot and extinguished the fire in the plane. Along with this, some people were also rescued in the mock drill so that the incident can be feared.

A mock drill exercise was conducted on the afternoon of 22 June to sensitize the staff in case of an emergency and to examine the emergency response protocol in case of any incident with respect to the aircraft. More than 600 members of airport staff, city police, nearby fire brigade and ambulances from 3 major hospitals were involved in the exercise. Robots of Ahmedabad Fire Brigade were also used in the incident. It was also shown that some people were murdered to take the incident seriously. So the rescue of most of the people was shown. So some were also given the necessary treatment on the spot.

The mock drill was conducted at the airport to plan how and how quickly the passengers and crew on board the aircraft could be rescued in the event of such an incident. The reaction time of various teams was also monitored during the mock drill. What can be planned was also taken into account so that in case of such incidents in future, the team can reach faster.

The exercise was conducted at a time when the aircraft was not taking off, keeping in mind that the day-to-day operations of the airport would not be disrupted. The operation of the airport was completed successfully without any inconvenience to our passengers and local people. After the handing over of Ahmedabad airport to a private airport, the first mock drill took place in which so many agencies were linked together. Due to which this mock drill is being considered as a special mock drill.

Failure of the plane or rain water on the runway can cause trouble during landing. Also, sometimes a situation like Cress arises. And now the monsoon has started. During monsoon, if such situation arises, mock drills are conducted as part of training of employees and various agencies and a system.

Initially, except the airport staff agencies, nobody realized that it was a mock drill. When the plane caught fire, people on the road near the airport saw smoke and fire and stood up to watch the fire and the work of various agencies. Some even made a video on their mobiles to understand the incident.
