Ahmedabad: 238 body warning cameras donated to Ahmedabad City Police for tight security
Ahmedabad: The state police system is now being upgraded with state-of-the-art technology to prevent frequent clashes between drivers and fines with the traffic police. For the first time in the country, the Gujarat government has come together to allot 10,000 body war cameras to the police system, out of which 238 body war cameras have been provided to the Ahmedabad city police for the security of the Rath Yatra.

As the procession of Lord Jagannathji is approaching in Ahmedabad, the city police is well equipped to stop any criminal activity and various preparations have been made for it. The city police have been given 238 body warming cameras mounted on the right side of a policeman’s chest and his video will be monitored on a screen in the control room.

Cameras will be used for this. Body-worn cameras have been allotted to all the district police by the state government. There are two types of cameras, some for live recording. Working Body Worn Camera Control Room in Gandhinagar. Events like communal riots, VVIP security, rallies, group clashes can be watched live from the control room of Gandhinagar and can be useful in taking quick action. Also, this body warning camera will be used during any major raid or while arresting an accused.
All activities will be recorded
The state government has implemented the bodyworn camera project to prevent clashes between police and people. And police officers and personnel will be fitted with cameras on their uniforms. This camera will record all the movements of 50 to 60 meters along with video and audio. So that there can be strong evidence of the incident between the police and the people.
