Agneepath protest: Many trains still canceled
Kolkata, 21 June (H.S.). In view of the youth’s protest against the central government’s ambitious Agneepath scheme for jobs in the Indian Army, the Eastern Railway has still canceled many trains. Chief Public Relations Officer Eklavya Chakraborty has told that many far-reaching trains have been canceled on Tuesday as well. He informed that Asansol-Varanasi MEMU Express, Varanasi-Asansol MEMU Express, Danapur-Sahebganj Express, Sahebganj-Danapur Express, Jamalpur-Tilrath DEMU Passenger Special, Jamalpur-Khagaria DEMU Special, Jamalpur-Gaya Express Special, Jamalpur-Saharsa MEMU Special, Jamalpur-Kiul Passenger Special, Jasidih-Baidyanathdham MEMU Passenger Special, Vaidyanathdham-Jasidih MEMU Passenger Special trains have been kept cancelled.
Eklavya said that instead of the scheduled departure time of Sealdah-Ballia Express at 1:40 pm on Tuesday, Sealdah will leave at 8 pm. Apart from this, Howrah-Dibrugarh Kamrup Express has been canceled on Tuesday.
