According to one study, dinner increases anxiety and depression compared to lunch. Researchers have come to this conclusion by studying mood levels and dividing them into day eaters, night eaters and both time eaters. The researchers found that mood levels such as anxiety and depression increased by 16 percent and 26 percent, respectively, in the day and night eating groups. Also, this increase was not found in those who ate food during the day.
