Bhopal. There is a possibility of a low pressure area and cyclone formation around Coastal Odisha and Bay of Bengal from August 5 to 6. Due to this effect, the eastern part of the monsoon trough will move downwards, which will increase the rainfall activities in the state.

Meteorologist Dr. Mamta Yadav said that during this period an upper air circulation associated with the monsoon trough will also be active, which will accelerate the wind and help in increasing the rainfall. And from August 6, the atmosphere is likely to change and there may be moderate to heavy rainfall. After this, the spell of rain and thundershowers will continue for about a week.

Heavy rain likely in Chambal division
Former meteorologist PK Saha said that from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Wednesday, 18 mm rainfall was recorded in Naogaon, six in Sagar, five in Guna, four in Pachmarhi, 2.8 in Gwalior, two in Ratlam, Khajuraho. On Thursday, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in the districts of Chambal division and in Datia, Shivpuri districts and in the districts of Sagar, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions.
