WWE has suspended Ronda Rousey indefinitely after she attacked an official at SummerSlam. On Saturday, at the SummerSlam event in Nashville, Rousey lost her women’s title match to Liv Morgan. Soon after the match ended, Rousey took issue with referee Dan Angler, who apparently failed to tap Morgan out during the match, per People.

A video of the incident shows Rousey grabbing the referee by his arm and throwing it over his shoulder to the ring floor, where he pinned her until another official broke the brawl. does not enter the ring. As the incident occurred, a WWE broadcaster speculated, while the pro wrestler attacked the official in front of the crowd at Nissan Stadium, “Rousie will be fined, or perhaps worse.”
On Tuesday, WWE released an official statement revealing that Ronda “has been fined an undisclosed amount and will be suspended.” The statement continued, “An enraged Rousey attacked the official after the SmackDown Women’s Title match, claiming that she missed tapping Liv Morgan on the armbar while she counted the pinfall.” After the statement, the company clarified that Ronda will not appear on Friday Night SmackDown in the coming week.
