Actress Riya Bhattacharjee is playing the role of Aakriti in the TV serial ‘Kabhi Kabhi Ittefaq Se’. However now it is in its final stage. Soon it will be off air. In this Riya’s character is negative. Simply put, she is playing the role of a villain. Well, she has now revealed that she was being told lewd things when she became a part of the show. People used to abuse on social media. But how she used to deal with all this has told in an interview.
In an interview to ‘ETimes’, Riya Bhattacharjee said on the response to her character in Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, ‘People used to hate me a lot when I started. When I started working on the show, I had no idea about people’s comments. But later I started getting a lot of negative comments. However, later people started loving me in real life. And I am very happy and blessed to do this role.
‘Filthy abuses were found in the comment section and message’
When actress Riya Bhattacharje was asked how she used to get negative comments? To this she says, ‘Don’t ask. I used to get lewd abuses. People used to write dirty abuses in messages to me. There were comments that why don’t you die. Why don’t you die There are other abuses, which I cannot even tell you. And I used to get similar messages in the comments section as well. Initially, I was a little worried about all this, but later I started ignoring and blocking them. I used to wonder why people are abusing me because I am working very hard. But some people are stupid because I am just playing a character. And in real life I am not a figure. I just want to focus on the good things.
‘Kabhi Kabhi Ittefaq Se’ is a remake of Bengali show
On the question of the show going off air, Riya says, “Sadly, the show is coming to an end. The show was about to close long back but we got two weeks extension. And I am happy that we have got this extension. The show was a remake of a Bengali show. I was not a part of it when it went on air. But in March the story changed and The production house said that they are no longer following the story. The Bengali show was a hit but the Hindi one was not as popular.
