New Delhi: Bollywood actress Richa Chadha has been trolled for one of her tweets. Richa had reacted to the statement of Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, in which he said that the Indian Army is ready to carry out the order to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Retweeting the tweet of the army officer’s statement, Bollywood actress Richa wrote, “Galwan says hi.” As soon as he tweeted this, there was an uproar on social media. Social media users started criticizing him for insulting the clash between India and China in the year 2020. People wrote that our soldiers who were martyred in Galvan are being made fun of. However, seeing the uproar, Richa Chadha later deleted this tweet and also apologized.
Richa apologized for this and said that my aim was not to insult the army with the tweet. My three words were dragged into the controversy. I am sorry if anyone has felt bad. He said that my maternal grandfather himself was in the army and was on the post of lieutenant colonel. He was shot in the leg during the Indo-China war. My maternal uncle was also a paratrooper. It’s in my blood. If someone is martyred in the army, then the whole family is affected by it. Even if someone is injured in the army, it is painful. This is an emotional issue for me.
BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa called this tweet of Richa derogatory. He wrote that this tweet should be withdrawn as soon as possible. It is not fair to insult our armed forces.
At the same time, Shiv Sena spokesperson (Uddhav Thackeray faction) Anand Dubey has demanded action against the actress. Anand Dubey said that actress Richa Chadha joked while dragging the Galvan Valley in her tweet. I demand the Chief Minister and Home Minister to take strict action on this. Such actors who tweet anti-national should be banned.
Supreme Court lawyer Vineet Jindal has complained to the Delhi Police regarding Richa Chadha’s tweet. In the matter of making controversial remarks on the army, there has been a demand to register an FIR against the actress. Although now Richa Chadha has deleted her tweet.
Northern Army Commander Upendra Dwivedi said that we are ready to take any action on the orders of the government. He issued a warning to Pakistan and said that if it violates the ceasefire, it will get a befitting reply. It is the responsibility of both the countries to maintain peace on the border, but if Pakistan takes any step, it will have to be ready to face the consequences.
Let us tell you that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had gone on a tour of Jammu and Kashmir only a few days ago. Here he had said that what Pakistan has done in PoK, it will have to pay the price. Pakistan is doing ‘atrocities’ on the people in its occupied Kashmir and it will have to face the consequences. He further said that we have started the development work of Kashmir, but we will not stop till we reach Gilgit-Baltistan.
Let us tell you that on the night of June 15, there was a violent clash between the Indian and Chinese army in the Galvan Valley. In this, 20 soldiers including Colonel Santosh Babu of the Indian Army were martyred. According to sources, about 40 Chinese soldiers were killed in the violent clash. However, China has not released any official data on the casualties of its soldiers.
