Sur Nava Dhyas Nava: Unique initiative of ‘Sur Nav Dhyan Nav’, singers will get ‘this’ opportunity
Mumbai: The fifth season of Colors Marathi’s ‘Sur Nav Dhyan Nav’ has arrived. (Marathi News) Now with a new identity and new focus, ‘Sur Nava Dhyan Nav’ is going to present a new unique perspective to the fans every week. In this episode, Vida Colors Marathi and Ekvira Productions have taken the lead to give their new song to the best singer of the week. In the history of musical reality shows, this is the first and only initiative in India.
“In every competition, there is only one winner, and that often stands out. But the difference between Sur Nava’s competition is that every week’s best singer in this episode is going to be the winner. His own song will be recorded in his name. What could be more important to any competitor? There can be no greater reward for him than establishing his identity on this stage as a playback singer. And proud to say that this can only happen on the stage of Sur Nava!” Talking about this activity, Avdhoot Gupte, Tester and Producer of ‘Sur Nav Dhyan Nav’ said.
“This is the most unusual thing to happen on a reality show. Huge appreciation to Ekvira Productions and Colors Marathi for providing them at this stage of the competition, something which is rare for contestant singers. It is quite an achievement to have a song by a renowned musician and lyricist at this stage of his career and to be lucky enough to perform it for the first time on such a big stage. In this sense, all these contestants are very lucky. This unique thing will give an edge to the competition and make the concert of ‘Sur Nava’ even more adventurous.” Program examiner Mahesh Kale said this while talking about this activity.
Speaking about this new venture of Sur Nava, composer Kaushal Inamdar said, “Apart from films, songs were once the lifeline of Marathi soul music. But today those songs are not made on such a large scale. There was a need to create a financial ecosystem for producing such non-film songs and on the occasion of this competition, Colors Marathi and Ekvira Productions created that eco-system. While composing a new song for Shubham, I became fresh on the occasion of that song. Mary and lyricist Milind Joshi’s age was Shubham’s. In that sense, this song is a refreshing one for us and it was a really enjoyable experience for us.”
This unique initiative of “Sur Nava” is getting much appreciation in the field of Marathi entertainment and this brand new first song is coming to the audience on Saturday 6th August at 9:30 PM in the program ‘Sur Nav Dhyan Nav’. Viraj Raje, Program Head, Colors Marathi said that the arrival of a new song every week will be a big celebration for the budding singers as well as the fans.
