Protest over ‘Chhelo Show’ Oscar entry, FWICE says film cannot be called Indian

The film of famous film maker Nalin Kumar Pandya aka Pan Nalin released some time back. The Chhelo show was well received by the Gujarati audience. The film initially created a lot of buzz because of its story. But this film has once again come into the limelight. But this time the film is in discussion due to the selection in the Oscars. But the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has objected to the film being selected for the Oscars.

FWICE President BN Tiwari told Indian Times, “The film is not an Indian film and the selection process for this film is not fair.” There were many Indian films like ‘RRR’ and ‘The Kashmir File’ but the jury chose a foreign film for ‘Oscar’. This film has now been bought by Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Know what FWICE has to say

BN Tiwari of FWICE has said that “We want the films to be reelected and the existing jury panel replaced with a new one. Because there are many people in the new panel who have been on this committee for many years and we don’t watch most of the movies they decide and vote on these films. If such a film goes to the Oscars, the image of the Indian industry is badly affected, which is considered in such an industry. Who makes more and more films.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur will give a presentation

Tiwari also said after the press conference that he would write a letter to Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur in this regard. Critically acclaimed film ‘Chhelo Show’ has beaten SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ and Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ in the race to become the country’s official contender in the Best Foreign Film category. This Gujarati film can be called a partially autobiographical drama, which tells the story of a nine-year-old boy.

‘Chello Show’ is being said to be a copy of this film.

‘Chhelo Show’ is being compared to Hollywood film ‘Cinema Paradiso’. Ashok Pandit had also called ‘Chhelo Show’ a copy of ‘Cinema Paradise’ some time back. He was told that the FFI had made a mistake, as the film was a copy of him. Therefore it should be rejected.

This movie is based on 9 year old boy

The Last Show movie is based on a coming-of-age story that revolves around a 9-year-old boy. This boy living in a village in India has a deep connection with cinema. The story of the film depicts how a little boy spends all his time watching a movie from a projection booth during the summer.
