5G Spectrum Auction Reliance Jio, the largest bidder in the country, on Monday said it is ready to roll out 5G services at the earliest with the availability of fiber across the country and strong global partnership. The company also said that Jio is committed to providing world-class affordable 5G services. India’s digital revolution will accelerate: Akash Ambani

Ambani said he will provide services, platforms and solutions that will drive India’s digital revolution. He specifically mentioned the revolution in important sectors like education, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing and e-operations. Akash said that with the launch of 5G across India, the elixir of independence will be celebrated.

Reliance Jio has been the highest bidder in this round of auction. The company broadcast 24,740 MHz radio waves in five bands at Rs. 88,078 crores were bid. The company said that it is ready to launch 5G services in the shortest possible time with nationwide fiber availability, IP network, indigenous 5G stack and strong global partnerships.

With regard to the spectrum auction, Reliance Jio said that it has won spectrum in the 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz bands. This will create a state-of-the-art 5G network. With access to this spectrum, the company will be able to build the world’s most advanced 5G network and further strengthen India’s global leadership in wireless broadband connectivity, the company said.

Airtel also ready to bring 5G services

At the same time, the country’s leading telecom service company Bharti Airtel on Monday auctioned spectrum for Rs. 43,084 crore after bidding for spectrum said it is well positioned to usher in the 5G revolution in the country. During the seven-day auction, Airtel bagged a total of 19,867.8 MHz spectrum in the 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz bands.

Airtel said in a statement that the acquisition of such a large amount of spectrum means that the company need not spend any amount on spectrum for many years to come. Describing itself as ready to lead the 5G revolution in India, the company said that it is well positioned to bring this revolution.
