Elon Musk’s shocking statement, Twitter deal postponed

Elon Musk’s ₹44 billion deal to buy Twitter was announced last month, but it still needs the support of shareholders and regulators. The acquisition was expected to be completed by the end of 2022. Elon Musk has once again made a shocking statement that the Twitter deal has been suspended for some time.

 

 

 

 

“The Twitter deal temporarily supports the count pending details that spam/fake accounts actually represent less than 5% of users,” Musk said in a tweet. Monetizes daily active users which may represent less than 5% of fake or spam accounts.

The social media company had 229 million users as announced in the January-March quarter.

Shortly after finalizing the deal to acquire Twitter, Musk said one of his priorities would be to remove “spam bots” from the platform.
