According to the Ministry of Railways, several steps have been taken from time to time to modernize the ticketing process. Many times passengers have to face difficulties in booking tickets online. In such a situation, some changes will be made to make the online ticketing process easier and more convenient.
The NGET system is constantly being updated. 15,000 tickets were booked per minute in 2016-17, while 18,000 tickets were booked per minute in 2017-18. Now the IRCTC website has the capacity to book 25,000 tickets every minute. 26 thousand 458 tickets were booked on 5 March 2020.
