Bank Holidays 2022: If you have any very important work related to the bank, then do it today. Banks will be closed for three days from tomorrow. The three-day long weekend of banks is going to start from this Saturday. Banks are getting a total of 11 holidays in May.
According to RBI, banks will remain closed on May 16 in many parts of India. On this day i.e. Monday, the holiday of Budh Purnima is given. Banks will remain closed in the same way on Sunday the day before. Banks will remain closed on May 14 and on another Saturday.
Banks have a holiday every Sunday, but not every Saturday. Banks operate on the first and third Saturdays of the month, while banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays.

Under the Holidays Under Negotiable Instruments Act, there are four holidays this month. Out of total 11 holidays, five holidays have arrived. May 1 (Sunday), May 2 (Eid-ul-Fitr), May 3 (Lord Shri Parshuram Jayanti / Ramzan-Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) / Basav Jayanti / Akshaya Tritiya), May 8 (Sunday), and May 9 (Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti). Now if we count the Sunday holidays, there are 6 holidays in total.
May 14th is a Sunday after 3 consecutive holidays from May 14th to May 16th. Then the fourth Saturday and Sunday are holidays on 28th and 29th respectively.
