Attention travelers please!  Now double tickets will be booked on one ID of IRCTC in a month

New Delhi: There is news of relief for those traveling on e-train tickets. They will now be able to generate 12 e-tickets every month instead of six. Ticket account has also been linked with Aadhar card to check black marketing.

To generate an ID, a visitor needs to create an account on the IRCTC site. Black marketers were also taking advantage of this facility by making fake IDs.

Indian Railways has tweeted that for the convenience of passengers and to curb black marketing, Aadhaar card and mobile number will also have to be entered while generating e-tickets. Aadhar card number will also be given at the time of account creation. Now 12 e-tickets can be made in a month.

It was also informed that Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will now make travel packages for tourists from the corporate sector train Tejas Express. IRCTC will take tourists from Lucknow to New Delhi via Tejas Express, while a flight from New Delhi will take them to Leh. For this, IRCTC has prepared four packages for Ladakh from June to August. IRCTC has also started booking this seven-day package.

IRCTC has prepared a tour package for Leh via Lucknow to New Delhi. The journey from Lucknow to New Delhi will be by Tejas Express. From there tourists will fly to Leh. IRCTC will provide three star hotels to the tourists for food and accommodation.

The tour includes hotel stay in Leh, overnight stay at Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Gurudwara, Nubra Valley Camp in Sham Valley, Disket, Hunder and Turtuk villages besides local tours and sightseeing of stupas and monasteries including Pangong Lake Huh. Powered by IRCTC.

The package for two people staying together in a hotel will be Rs 44,500 per passenger. For staying together, the three persons will have to pay Rs 43,900 per passenger and Rs 42,000 per child separately. Packages will be booked on a first come first served basis.
