Honda Cars India on Friday announced a price hike of up to 2 per cent across all its models from January next year. The company sells models like Amaze, City and Elevate in the domestic market. Honda Cars India Vice President (Marketing and Sales) Kunal Bahl said the auto manufacturer will increase the prices of its models by up to 2 per cent from early January 2025. Bahl said, “Due to the continued increase in raw material costs and logistics, a small burden will be passed on to the customers through price revision from the new year.” Various car manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata Motors have already announced price hikes from January.

Tata’s cars will be expensive

Tata Motors recently announced a price hike of up to 2 per cent on its trucks and buses from January 1, 2025. The company said that this increase was due to rising pressure on input costs. However, the company has also said that the price hike will vary according to different models and variants and will be applicable to the entire range of trucks and buses.

These companies are also increasing the prices

Hyundai Motor India is considering increasing the prices of its model range by up to Rs 25,000 from January 1, 2025. Mahindra & Mahindra will increase the prices of its SUVs and commercial vehicles by up to three percent from January. Mahindra & Mahindra said that this adjustment has been made in view of the rising costs due to inflation and increased commodity prices. JSW MG Motor India said that it will increase the prices of its entire model range by up to three percent from next month. The company said that this increase in prices is a result of continuously rising input costs and other external factors. At the same time, the company, which sells models from Alto K10 to Invicto, said that it is increasing the prices in view of rising input costs and operating expenses.
