Moscow: India’s traditional friend Russia has stunned the enemies by giving them the world’s most dangerous warship before the new year. President Putin has dispatched the Russian-made warship INS Tushil to increase the strength of India’s navy. This warship is counted among the world’s deadliest warships, which has left for India from Kaliningrad, Russia. Let us tell you that this warship was inducted into the Indian Navy in Kaliningrad, Russia on 9 December in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Now the news of its departure towards India has disturbed the sleep of enemies like China and Pakistan. On this, China has given its first reaction and expressed concern by calling it India’s strategic advantage.
Let us tell you that this ship, which is an impressive blend of Russia and India’s state-of-the-art technologies and best practices of warship construction, is 125 meters long and weighs 3900 tons. This warship is expected to significantly increase the operational capability of the Indian Navy in the Indian Ocean. The activity of China’s PLA Navy has increased in the Indian Ocean in the last few years. In this context, the inclusion of INS Tushil in the Indian Navy fleet is a sleepless event for China. Russia said on Thursday that the Indian Navy’s latest multi-role INS Tushil left for India from Kaliningrad, Russia on 17 December and this is the beginning of its first operational deployment.
INS Tushil will pass through here
The ship will pass through the Baltic Sea, North Sea, Atlantic Ocean and finally the Indian Ocean and will stop at several friendly ports along the way. China has reacted to the induction of INS Tushil into the Indian Navy fleet in the South China Morning Post. China has said that India has inducted the Russian-built INS Tushil into the Navy fleet amid growing security concerns in the Indo-Pacific. This will increase the capabilities of the Indian Navy and also increase its strategic focus in the Indo-Pacific region. Chinese analysts say that India has strengthened its naval fleet by inducting an advanced frigate built in Russia into the Navy, which focuses New Delhi’s strategic edge on enhancing maritime security amid growing tensions in the Indo-Pacific and growing naval competition with China and Pakistan.
INS Tushil is the most technologically advanced warship in the world
INS Tushil is the seventh Talwar-class warship built for the Indian Navy. “It is known for its advanced stealth features and improved stability characteristics. INS Tushil is a guided missile frigate that is playing a different role than submarines in Asia,” said Dongchen Li, a PhD candidate at the Australian National University’s Strategic and Defence Studies Centre. India’s multiple nuclear submarines are designed to deal with threats posed by China. INS Tushil will primarily support the Western Naval Command’s mission of countering Pakistan and maintaining liberal order within the Arabian Sea and the western Indian Ocean.
India’s dominance in the sea will increase
Li said, INS Tushil will strengthen India’s maritime control in the Indian Ocean in response to the way China is using Pakistan’s Gwadar port due to close ties between Pakistan and China. Commodore C. Uday Bhaskar, a former Indian Navy officer and director of the Delhi-based think tank Society for Policy Studies, said that the inclusion of a “modern warship” like INS Tushil will enhance the surface warfare capabilities of the Indian Navy.
Equipped with electronic warfare system
INS Tushil is extremely powerful for “especially electronic” warfare. It is equipped with all types of electronic warfare systems. Once fueled, it will protect India at sea with the deployment of 180 naval personnel for 30 days. It is equipped with land attack missiles like Brahmos, vertical anti-ship missiles. It has 24 medium range missiles. It is also fitted with a 100 mm capacity A-190E naval gun. Along with this, a 76 mm Oto Melara naval gun is also present. It also has the facility of torpedo tubes and rocket launchers. There is also the capability to deploy Kamov and Dhruv helicopters.
