A case of assault has come to light in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Noida Police has taken action in this case. Police said that a YouTuber has been arrested on Thursday after a video went viral in which he was seen assaulting a man on the road.
The video of the beating went viral on social media
Police said the accused, Rajveer Sisodia, has been detained by officers of Noida Phase-3 police station area. The incident came to light when a video of the brawl went viral on social media. Following this, the officers took prompt action.
Police registered a case under these sections
According to the police, the victim had filed a complaint after the video of the incident, which took place earlier this week, went viral. Acting on the complaint, an FIR was registered against Shishodia under BNS sections 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (intentional insult of another person with intent to disturb public peace or incitement to commit any other offence) and 351 (criminal intimidation).
Police arrested him and started legal action
A police officer said on Thursday night, “Based on the viral video and the written complaint of the victim, Rajveer Sisodia has been arrested today. Further legal action is being taken. Further investigation is underway. Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fight.”
