Sambhal: Encroachment is being removed around the 46-year-old temple that was recently found in the Muslim-dominated area of Sambhal. The temple was found in Khaggu Sarai of Sambhal Sadar. The people there themselves are removing the encroachment around it. The balcony of a house adjacent to the temple is being demolished. The house owner himself is getting the balcony of the house demolished by hiring labourers. This balcony was protruding towards the temple.
Claim to break illegal part without pressure
The landlord said that we are removing the encroachment on our own. He has said that we are removing the encroachment without coming under any pressure. The landlord said that keeping in mind the safety of the temple, the balcony of the house is being demolished slowly. It will be completed in about 10 days. About 10 laborers have been employed to demolish the illegal construction.

The temple and the well have also been covered with tarpaulin so that while demolishing the house, the debris does not fall on the temple or the well and damage it. The house owner says that he has no objection to demolishing the illegal construction. Earlier the administration had said that those who have encroached near the temple should remove it themselves or else action will be taken.
CCTV is also being installed in the streets
At the same time, Sambhal administration is also installing CCTV cameras in the streets around the temple. CCTV will be controlled from the police station. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing crowd for darshan in the temple. Police will monitor the streets around the temple through CCTV.
The temple was closed since 1978
Let us tell you that after being closed for 46 years in Sambhal district, Shri Kartik Mahadev Temple (Bhasm Shankar Temple) was reopened on 13 December. It was closed since 1978. On the question of encroachment around the temple, the DM said that some people have removed the encroachment themselves, some have been requested, further process will be followed and then it will be removed through the municipality.
