New York: US President-elect Donald Trump was on Thursday honored as the ‘2024 Time Person of the Year’ by ‘TIME’ magazine. Trump has been given this honor for his spectacular comeback in the elections and for changing America’s role in the world. The magazine has awarded Trump this special title for ‘leading a political change that happens once in a generation’ and ‘giving a new dimension to the American presidency’. Trump became president for the first time in 2016 and has created history by winning the recently concluded US presidential elections.
‘ TIME ‘ announced the ‘Person of the Year’ on Thursday. Let us tell you that this is a well-known title in the world, which has been given for the last 97 years to a person whose good or bad deeds have brought about a change in the world during the last 12 months and who has contributed more in making headlines. Trump was also chosen as ‘Person of the Year’ by Time magazine after winning the presidential election in 2016. Before ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange, Trump said, ‘Time magazine, this is the second time I have received this honor, I think this time it is even better.’ Time magazine said that the American presidency may have evolved in the current era, but its influence has not diminished.

Trump has gone through all this.’ Among the people who were given a place for this year’s honor by ‘TIME’ magazine, Trump was included in the list of final contenders along with Vice President Kamala Harris, Elon Musk, owner of many companies including social media platform ‘X’, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton.
