There is great news for the people of UP. Today, the first plane landed at Jewar Airport in Noida. For the first time today, IndiGo’s flight landed at Noida International Airport. The Civil Aviation Minister was also present at the ceremony organized for this. As soon as the plane landed, it was saluted with a water cannon. The residents of the entire Uttar Pradesh including Gautam Buddha Nagar have been eagerly waiting for this historic moment for years and today their wish was fulfilled.

Noida Airport Nodal Officer Shailendra Bhatia said that the target has been set to complete its trial by December 15. After this, an application will be made for an aerodrome license to operate this airport. Senior officials, including officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, DGCA, NIAL, and Uttar Pradesh Civil Aviation Department, will be involved in this process. The first trial run took place at Jewar International Airport on Monday. A video of this trial run has also surfaced, in which the plane is seen running on the runway.

The training room at this airport is named after Squadron Leader Avani Chaturvedi. She is a fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force. Jewar Airport is the largest airport in Asia. According to Jewar International Airport Limited (NIAL), the commercial inauguration of this airport is to take place in April 2025, while the trial run will run till December 15.

The foundation stone of Noida’s Jewar International Airport was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself in the year 2021. The construction work ofa 3.9 km long and 60 meter wide runway has been completed here. All other work will be completed by the last week of March next year 2025. After that, commercial flights will be started here from April 2025.
