Allu Arjun’s most awaited film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has been released in theatres. Before the release of the film, a special screening of Pushpa 2 was held at Sandhya Theatre located at RTC Cross Road, Hyderabad on Wednesday, December 4. Allu Arjun, along with Shrivalli i.e. Rashmika Mandanna, reached Sandhya Theatre to watch the film, where a huge crowd of the actor’s fans gathered. There was such a huge crowd of fans outside the theatre to see Allu Arjun that pushing and shoving started. People started falling, due to which the police had to resort to lathi-charge. During this, a tragic incident occurred. A woman died and at least two others were injured in the stampede that broke out afterAllu Arjun arrivedl at the theatre.

There was chaos as a huge crowd rushed towards the gate of the theatre before the screening, leading to a stampede-like situation. Fans eager to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun rushed towards the entrance as soon as the actor arrived. Police deployed to control the crowd resorted to lathi-charge to bring the situation under control.

Revathi, a resident of Dilsukhnagar, had come to watch the premiere show of Pushpa 2 with her husband Bhaskar and their two children Shree Tej (9) and Sanvika (7). After the mob broke the gate, Revathi and her son Shree Tej fainted amid the chaos. “The 39-year-old victim Sandhya fainted at the theatre and was rushed to Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital for treatment,” police said. However, doctors declared her dead.

Seriously injured Mr Tej has been admitted to KIMS Hospital in Begumpet for better treatment. The condition of the other injured, including a child, is said to be stable and they are being treated at a private hospital. Revathi’s body has been shifted from Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
