Greater Noida: The police have again arrested the farmers protesting at the ‘Zero Point’ of Yamuna Expressway. Along with this, the protest site was vacated late at night. At the same time, 34 farmers who left Zero Point towards Dalit Prerna Sthal Noida to protest without permission were arrested on Thursday morning.
According to the information, officials arrived with a large police force late at night arrested the protesting farmers, and vacated the area. On Wednesday, the farmers had called a panchayat at Zero Point, this panchayat was called in protest against the arrest of farmers on Tuesday.
126 farmers were released from jail
According to the information, under the pressure of the Panchayat, the police had released all 126 farmers from jail but they were arrested again late at night. Whereas in the talks held between the farmers and the officials on Wednesday evening, it was decided that the farmers would stay at Zero Point at night and a decision would be taken today morning after talks to start the protest again at Prerna Sthal. Actually, after being released from jail, the farmers were planning to protest at Prerna Sthal regarding their demands.

Earlier, agitating farmer groups held a meeting at ‘Zero Point’ on the Yamuna Expressway on Wednesday and claimed that their proteshadas forced the Uttar Pradesh government to release all the protesters arrested a day earlier from their protest site on the Delhi-Noida border. After being released, the farmers joined the ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’ at ‘Zero Point’ where it was decided to continue the protest till their demands were met. Farmer leaders had said that a decision on changing the protest site would be taken on Thursday. Let us tell you that ‘Zero Point’ refers to a place at the connecting point of the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway in the Greater Noida city of Gautam Buddha Nagar district.

Let us tell you that a large number of farmers from Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Shamli, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Bijno,r and Meeruhavead reached the Mahapanchayat site. A large number of policemen were deployed on the spot. The Mahapanchayat had decided to continue the protest until all the demands of the farmers were met.
