Jay Shah Starting His Tenure As ICC Chairman:  Former BCCI Secretary Jay Shah took charge as the new chairman of the International Cricket Council on December 1. The ICC informed about Jay Shah’s taking charge through its post. All cricket fans were eagerly waiting for Jay Shah to take charge, his first assignment is the Champions Trophy to be hosted by PCB in the year 2025, the schedule of which has not been announced yet. At the same time, Jay Shah has also made it clear with the assumption of office that his most important goal is the Olympic Games where cricket has also been included.

Jay Shah first joined the Gujarat Cricket Association in 2009, after which he became the youngest secretary of the BCCI in 2019. During his tenure in this position, he played his role in strengthening Indian cricket, which also included the launch of the Women’s Premier League along with the IPL media rights deal.
