New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party has started gearing up for the Delhi Assembly elections. The party organized a conference of district-level officials in Chandni Chowk. Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal also attended this conference. He compared the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections to ‘Dharmayuddha’ and said that this is a Dharmayuddha like Mahabharata.
Emphasis on local meetings
Arvind Kejriwal said that divine powers are in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party. He cited the party’s victory in the Delhi Municipal Corporation mayoral elections. Kejriwal urged the party’s booth and district-level workers to take up the challenge of reaching out to every voter and stressed the need for at least 65,000 local meetings to spread the AAP’s message. He took credit for building 10,000 km of roads in Delhi colonies, reminding officials of AAP’s achievements, and said the BJP cannot match this feat even in the 20 states where it is in power.

Addressing the workers, Kejriwal said, “We are a small party with limited resources. The BJP has immense money and power but they have never done anything for the people of Delhi as they lack the will to serve.” He asked his party workers not to look at the candidate who gets the ticket. “You should work as if I am contesting all 70 seats (in Delhi),” he told the workers. The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in February next year.
