Three people have bought two hectares of land under enemy property located in Kotana of Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh in an auction. It is claimed that the land sold in the auction is related to the late former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf. It is said that this land belongs to the relatives of the former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf. This land has been bought by 3 people in an online auction, after which they have also deposited 25 percent of the money to the government. The land of relatives of Pervez Musharraf was lying here for a long time.
Land sold for 1 crore 38 lakh
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of the district Pankaj Verma said that three people have bought a total of 13 bighas of land with eight plots for Rs 1 crore 38 lakh 16 thousand through online auction and have deposited 25 percent of the total amount.
On social media, the auctioned property is being said to belong to Musharraf’s family. However, according to Verma, there is no proof of this and no evidence has been found that a person named Nooru was a relative of Musharraf. He said, “This enemy property is registered in the name of Nooru in the revenue records. However, the documents do not have any information about any relationship between Nooru and Musharraf. The records only reveal that Nooru was the owner of this property, who went to Pakistan in 1965.” Verma said that after depositing the money, the names of the buyers will be registered in the revenue records.
Uncle lived in Baghpat for a long time.
A government official said that Musharraf’s grandfather lived in Kotana while Musharraf was born in Delhi and he never came to Baghpat. Additional District Magistrate Verma said that Musharraf’s father Syed Musharrafuddin and mother Zarin Begum never lived in this village, but his uncle Humayun lived there for a long time. He said that there is also a house in the village, where Humayun lived before independence. This land was declared enemy property in the year 2010.
