Hyderabad: Ahead of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in Hyderabad on Friday, the Telangana government has issued a notice to the organizers, saying songs promoting alcohol, drugs, and violence will not be played at the event. Diljit’s concert here is part of his Dil-Luminati Tour in 10 cities across India.
These things will be banned during live shows.
The notice has been issued by the District Welfare Officer of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens Welfare Department, Rangareddy, based on a representation by a Chandigarh resident. The notice prohibits Daljit Dosanjh from singing songs promoting alcohol, drugs, and violence during his live show scheduled in Hyderabad on November 15. The notice also prohibits the singer from using children on stage during his shows.

The notice also mentions children below 13 years of age. It says that your concert guidelines say that children below 13 years of age are allowed. The concert guidelines also say that the concert may involve loud sounds and flashing lights. Both loud music and flashing lights are harmful to children. Organizers and singers are informed not to use children on stage and not to sing songs involving alcohol/drugs during the live show at Cyberabad on 15.11.2024.
The notice said that the application submitted along with video evidence stated that Daljit Dosanjh had sung songs promoting alcohol, drugs, and violence during a live show at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi last month.

Meanwhile, a video posted on Daljit’s social media handle shows that the singer arrived in the city and visited the historic Charminar. He also offered prayers at a temple and a gurudwara in the city. It is clear from this that the singer has reached Telangana.
