Before superheroes like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Batman ruled India, there was one superhero whom no one can ever forget and his name was Shaktimaan. This hero is all set to make an exciting comeback on screen once again. The clip shows Mukesh as Shaktimaan. He is seen landing in a school campus where he starts singing, ‘Azadi ke diwanon ne jung ladi phir jaane di, ang ang kat gaye magar anch watan par na aane di…’ He sings this song while looking at the pictures of heroes like Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, and Subhash Chandra Bose.

Shaktimaan was a TV series that aired on Doordarshan in 1997. Helmed by Mukesh Khanna, the show featured Kitu Gidwani, Vaishnavi, Surendra Pal, and Tom Alter. It was one of the most popular shows of the 90s and aired 450 episodes over a span of almost eight years. Shaktimaan is a superhuman with mystical and supernatural powers who is tasked by a mysterious sect of saints to fight evil in the world.
