A decision of the SDM court in Rajpur Khampur village of Baghpat has heated the atmosphere. An order has been issued to demolish a 50-year-old mosque in Baghpat. This decision has been given in the SDM court while hearing the complaint of Muslim petitioner Gulsher. After the order of the High Court, the district administration has ordered the demolition of the mosque built by illegally occupying the pond land and has also imposed a fine of Rs 4.12 lakh on the Mutawalli.
A mosque has been present in Rajpur Khampur village of Baghpat district for the last 50 years. Gulshan, a Muslim youth from the same village, had filed a petition in the court. In this petition, it was said that the land on which the mosque is built belongs to the pond. This mosque has been built here illegally. Free the land from occupation by demolishing this Taqiya Wali mosque. After this, an order has been given to demolish the mosque.
The petition was filed on 29 July.
Gulshan had filed a special petition in the High Court on July 29. While hearing the petitioner, the High Court declared the construction an illegal encroachment and passed an order to dispose of it based on the Revenue Code. When the order reached the district administration, the Tehsildar called for a report of the said case from the Lekhpal, Kanungo, and started an investigation into the entire matter. Based on the investigation, a case was filed in the Tehsildar’s court and the hearing was started based on evidence, facts, and documents, a notice was issued to the Mutawalli of the mosque.
Mutallavi was fined Rs 4.12 lakh.
Revenue District Government Advocate Ravindra Rathi and Additional District Government Advocate Nagesh Kumar presented their side. The hearing went on, allegations and counter-allegations, facts were investigated, and then Baghpat Tehsildar Abhishek Kumar declared the mosque built on the pond land as illegal. Along with this, orders were issued to impose a fine of about 4.12 lakh rupees on the Mutawalli and to pay execution expenses of 5 thousand rupees. Orders have been issued to demolish this illegal mosque built on the pond land in Rajpur Khampur village and free the land from occupation.
The people of the village are angry with the decision of the administration.
To demolish the illegal mosque, a committee of revenue officers will be formed and a time will be decided, after which the revenue department team will take action to demolish the mosque along with the police force. As soon as the villagers came to know about this matter, they became angry. The villagers are angry about this decision of the local administration. They say that this order is wrong, they have been given 15 days, and they will present their side in this matter before the court of higher officials and challenge the decision. The mosque will not be allowed to be demolished at any cost.
