Not ‘Singham Again’ or ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, these South Indian films are also making a splash at the box office

Two big films released in theatres on November 1, ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ have taken over the theatres. While Kartik Aaryan and Ajay Devgan’s films are getting close to earning Rs 100 crore at the box office, many South Indian films are also giving tough competition to these Bollywood films. Amaran

Amaran is an action-packed biographical drama directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. The film tells the true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an officer of the Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army, who displayed his bravery on the battlefield during the Kazipathri Operation in Shopian, Kashmir in 2014. Posthumously, he was awarded the Ashoka Chakra – India’s highest peacetime gallantry award – for his valor. ‘Amaran’ saw Sivakarthikeyan in a new avatar playing the role of a courageous army soldier. He is accompanied by Sai Pallavi, an actress who is known for working only on select and best projects. The film is based on ‘India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military’ written by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, which narrates the lives of heroes like Major Mukund Varadarajan. ‘Amaran’ performed well in its first 3 days at the box office and grossed 61.95 crores in India.

Lucky Bhaskar

This is a film that takes us back to the 1980s with an interesting story. ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ is the story of a struggling bank cashier named Bhaskar who finds a new way to earn money. Dulquer Salmaan, known for his knack for choosing strong scripts in different languages, plays this powerful role. The film will take us on an exciting journey of the character’s rise to riches and his transformation. Directed by Venky Atluri, famous for Vaathi/Sir, the film shows the price of chasing money and the consequences that follow. Bagheera

‘Bagheera’ is Kannada cinema’s most awaited action drama film starring Sri Murali and Rukmini Vasantha in the lead roles. The film shows the journey of an ordinary man who aspires to become a superhero. He takes on the world as a good person who dares to fight for his rights with strength, justice, and conviction. Directed by DR Suri and written by Prashanth Neel, famous as the director of the ‘KGF’ series, ‘Bagheera’ was in the news for three years. ‘Bagheera’ is a Kannada action entertainer film written by Prashanth Neel and directed by Dr. Suri. ‘Bagheera’ performed well in its first 3 days at the box office and grossed 9.85 crores in India.
