Central contract announced, 7 out of 29 players made their entry for the first time

The big news is coming from the cricket world. A big announcement has been made by the England Cricket Board. A few months before the end of the year, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the central contract. A total of 29 players have been given central contracts. Among these, seven players have been given a two-year central contract while 19 players have got a place in the central contract for one year. At the same time, three players were successful in getting the England Development Contract. 7 such players in England’s central contract have got the contract for the first time. These include Jamie Smith, Shoaib Bashir, Will Jacks, Ollie Stone, Phil Salt, Jacob Bethell and Josh Hull.

The England cricket team is currently on a tour of the West Indies. This tour will start from October 31 in which a 3-match ODI series will be played first. After the ODI series, a 5-match T20I series will be organized between England and West Indies. After this tour, the England team will leave for New Zealand where it has to play a 3-match Test series. This series is going to be very important for both the teams given the World Test Championship 2023-25. This Test series will start on November 28. Recently, England had to lose the 3-match Test series 1-2 on the Pakistan tour.
