Indian stock market closed with a decline on Thursday as well. Bombay Stock Exchange’s index Sensex closed at 80,065 today with a decline of 0.02 percent i.e. 16.82 points. At the time of market closing, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 were in the green zone and 11 were in the red zone. Whereas, National Stock Exchange’s index Nifty closed at 24,399 today with a decline of 0.15 percent i.e. 36.10 points. At the time of market closing, out of 50 Nifty stocks, 26 were in the green zone and 24 were in the red zone.
These stocks declined
The biggest losers in the Nifty pack today were Hindustan Unilever (5.84%), SBI Life (4.71%), Hindalco (3.78%), Nestle India (2.80%) and Bajaj Auto (2.71%). The biggest gainers were UltraTech Cement (2.58%), Shriram Finance (1.82%), Titan (1.47%), Grasim (1.41%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (1.31%).
Nifty FMCG lost 2.83%
Talking about sectoral indices, the biggest decline was recorded in Nifty FMCG by 2.83 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Auto fell by 0.52 percent, Nifty IT by 0.19 percent, Nifty Media by 0.17 percent, Nifty Metal by 0.23 percent, Nifty Realty by 1.13 percent, Nifty Consumer Durables by 0.39 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Midsmall Healthcare rose by 0.78 percent, Nifty Oil and Gas by 0.07 percent, Nifty Healthcare Index by 0.37 percent, Nifty Private Bank by 0.37 percent, Nifty PSU Bank by 1.22 percent, Nifty Pharma by 0.44 percent, Nifty Financial Services by 0.43 percent and Nifty Bank by 0.57 percent.
