BRICS Summit 2024: The BRICS summit will be held on 23 and 24 October in Kazan, Russia. PM Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin met before the BRICS Summit in Kazan. During this, the two leaders met each other warmly. PM Modi shook hands with Putin and then hugged him. After this, bilateral issues were discussed between the two leaders. During the talks, PM Modi also mentioned the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

India and Russia relations strengthened. 

During bilateral talks with Putin, PM Narendra Modi thanked Russia for its warm hospitality. He mentioned India’s historical ties with the city of Kazan and said that India is opening a new consulate in Kazan. PM Modi said that this is the second time I have come to Russia in the last few months. I met President Putin in Moscow in July this year. This warmth between the two countries reflects their deep relations. Relations between India and Russia have become stronger. 

 

PM Modi mentioned the Russia-Ukraine conflict

PM Modi congratulated Russia for leading BRICS for the last year. He said that BRICS has left its mark in the last 15 years. I am looking forward to attending the BRICS summit. During the Russia-Ukraine conflict, President Putin and I have been in constant touch. India believes that the resolution of the conflict should be peaceful. We support peace and stability keeping humanity in mind. India is ready to provide all kinds of support in this regard.

In a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, ‘The next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission is scheduled to be held on December 12 in New Delhi. Our joint projects are progressing steadily. You have decided to open an Indian Consulate in Kazan, we welcome it. India’s policies will benefit the partnership and relations of the two countries. We are very happy to see you and your delegation in Russia.’
