Kaushambi: An incident tarnishing relationships has come to light in the district. Here, the wife, who had lived with her husband for seven lives, poisoned him to death on the day of Karva Chauth. After this incident, the family members are crying and wailing. It is being told that the wife suspected that her husband was having an affair with another woman. Angered by this, the wife mixed poison in her husband’s food in the evening. After this, she ran away from the house making an excuse. After some time, the husband’s health deteriorated, after which he was taken to the hospital but he died.
The wife had kept a fast the whole day.
The whole matter is of Smilepur village of Kada Dham police station area. Here Shailesh Kumar (32) was busy making arrangements for Karva Chauth since morning. His wife Savita was also fasting for the long life of her husband. However, in the evening, when women break their fast after seeing their husband’s face, at that very moment the husband and wife fight. However, after some time everything became normal. After this, the wife served food and both of them sat and ate. After eating, the wife left the house saying that she was going to the neighbor’s house. Shortly after this, the condition of their husband Shailesh started deteriorating. Seeing Shailesh’s health deteriorating, the family admitted him to Smilepur CHC, but when his condition became serious, he was referred to the medical college. When his health did not improve here also, the next day the doctors referred him to Prayagraj, but Shailesh died on the way.
Police arrested the accused wife.
Shailesh’s death caused a furor among his family members. On receiving the information about the incident, the police team also reached the spot. The police took Shailesh’s body into custody and sent it for postmortem. The deceased Shailesh’s brother lodged a police complaint. The police have also arrested the accused wife who was absconding after committing the crime. Before dying, Shailesh had also issued a statement in which he had said that his wife had mixed poison in his food.
