Beirut: Israel is continuously targeting Hezbollah’s bases in Lebanon. The situation in Lebanon is getting worse due to the war. More than 4 lakh children have been displaced during the war in the last three weeks. A top official of the United Nations Children’s Agency has given information about this. The official has also warned of the danger of ‘losing a special generation’ due to the displacement of children in Lebanon. Israel’s military campaign continues with Hamas in Gaza and against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

how are the circumstances

The war in Lebanon has forced 1.2 million people to flee their homes, most of them in the past three weeks, to Beirut and other places in the north. UNICEF Deputy Executive Director for Humanitarian Action Ted Chaiban visited schools where displaced families are taking shelter. “I was surprised to learn that the war is three weeks old and so many children have been affected. There are 1.2 million children deprived of education. Their public schools have been damaged or are being used as shelters,” Chaiban said in Beirut. Although some Lebanese private schools are still operating, the war has badly affected the public school system, as well as the country’s most vulnerable people, such as Palestinian and Syrian refugees.
