India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is on a visit to Pakistan. Here he met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday. Both the leaders greeted each other during the meeting. Let us tell you that Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has gone to Islamabad to attend a conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). During this, Pakistan’s PM Shahbaz Sharif also organized a dinner at his residence in honor of the representatives of the member countries of the SCO. A video of the meeting between India’s Foreign Minister and Pakistan’s PM has also surfaced, in which S Jaishankar and Shahbaz Sharif can be seen shaking hands warmly.

Noor Khan was welcomed at the airport

Apart from this, the Prime Minister of Pakistan greeted the leaders of the delegations of all the member countries of SCO. Let us tell you that the plane of Foreign Minister S Jaishankar landed at Noor Khan Airport in Pakistan at around 3:30 pm local time. Here he was welcomed by senior officials of Pakistan. Let us tell you that for the first time in the last 09 years, the Foreign Minister of India has visited Pakistan. For the last several years, relations between the two countries have been very tense over the Kashmir issue and terrorism. Let us tell you that S Jaishankar will lead the Indian delegation in the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (CHG) of SCO on Wednesday.

After reaching Pakistan, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar posted on social media platform X and informed about it. He wrote in his post on X, “I have reached Islamabad to attend the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of SCO.” Along with this, the Foreign Minister also shared pictures of some children and officials welcoming him with flowers at the airport. Let us tell you that earlier Sushma Swaraj had visited Pakistan as Foreign Minister. She went to Islamabad in December 2015 to attend the ‘Heart of Asia’ conference on Afghanistan. At that time Jaishankar was part of Sushma Swaraj’s delegation as the Foreign Secretary of India.
