NCP leader Baba Siddiqui shot dead, was among the top leaders of Maharashtra

Mumbai: A big political stir started in Maharashtra even before the assembly elections. On Saturday night, NCP Ajit Pawar faction leader Baba Siddiqui was fired upon in the Bandra area of ​​the city. After this firing, Baba Siddiqui was admitted to Lilavati Hospital. However, shortly after, Lilavati Hospital confirmed the news of his death. It is being told that Baba Siddiqui was shot near his son’s office. The police have so far taken two miscreants into custody, while a search is being conducted for one miscreant.

The arrested accused are from UP and Haryana

Ac.cording to sources, Delhi Police’s Special Cell has also started investigating Baba Siddiqui’s murder case. Delhi Police’s Counter Intelligence Unit has started investigating this case. This team has previously worked with Mumbai Police in many big operations in Mumbai. Of the two shooters arrested so far, one is from Haryana while the other accused is from UP. The police team present near the crime scene arrested both the criminals within 10 minutes of the firing.  Police sus suspects a big gangster may be behind this murder. If sources are to be believed, the Mumbai Crime Branch team has also contacted UP STF and Haryana CIA.

CM Shinde gave a statement

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has described the incident of the der of former minister Baba Siddiqui as unfortunate. He said that I have received information about such an attack on such a big leader. Baba Siddiqui has died in this unfortunate incident. He further said that I had spoken to Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, he tand and told me that we had arrested two people in this case. One accused is from Haryana, the other is from Uttar Pradesh. The third accused is still absconding. Efforts are still being made by Mumbai Police to find him. Strict action will be taken against those who take law and order into their own hands in this manner. He said that we would put the case of firing on Baba Siddiqui in fast fast-trackrt and willwoulde strict action against the accused.
