India created a world record by defeating Pakistan, the only team to do so in the Women’s T20 World Cup

Ndia Women vs Pakistan Women: In the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team finally opened its account of victory by defeating Pakistan. Team India had to face defeat by 58 runs against New Zealand in their first match. Now by beating Pakistan, Team India tried to heal that wound. In the match against Pakistan, the bowlers and batsmen of the Indian team performed brilliantly. First, due to the brilliant bowling of Shreyanka Patil and Arundhati Reddy, the Indian team was successful in stopping Pakistan at just 105 runs. After this, thanks to the batting of Shefali Verma and Harmanpreet, the team easily chased the target.

In the match against India, only four batsmen in the Pakistani women’s team were able to reach double digits. These include Maniba Ali (17 runs), Nida Dar (28 runs), Fatima Sana (13 runs), and Syeda Aaruv Shah (14 runs). Apart from these players, the rest of the batsmen failed to perform well. Due to this, the team could score only 105 runs in 20 overs. Arundhati Reddy took the maximum of three wickets for India. 

Shefali Verma scored the most runs for India.

The Indian team, which came out to chase the small target, had a very bad start. When star opener Smriti Mandhana was out after scoring just 7 runs. After this, Shefali Verma (32 runs), Jemima Rodrigues (23 runs), and Harmanpreet Kaur (29 runs) played short but brilliant innings and Team India achieved the target. Captain Harmanpreet fell while playing the ball. Due to this, she felt pain in her neck and she retired out and returned to the pavilion.
