Incidents of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express keep coming from different states of the country. Now Uttar Pradesh ATS has taken strict action against the gang that pelted stones on Vande Bharat in Varanasi and arrested a wanted accused. The accused has said that the speed of the train used to decrease due to the glass breaking after throwing stones. This made it easy for him to snatch mobile phones from people sitting near the window.
How was the accused caught?
Actually, on 23rd August, Ranchi Varanasi Vande Bharat train was pelted with stones at Vyasnagar and Kashi station. A youth named Pawan Kumar Sahni was arrested in this. During interrogation, he said that Hussain alias Shahid was also involved in the stone pelting. As the case was suspicious, UP ATS arrested Hussain alias Shahid who lived on rent in Mughalsarai Chandauli, and interrogated him. During interrogation, he said that after the stone pelting, when the speed of the train reduced, they used to snatch the phones from the passengers sitting near the gate and window.
What did ATS say?
UP ATS has informed that ATS is gathering information through various means to identify the persons who spread fear by causing railway accidents and efforts are being made to control such activities. In this sequence, UP ATS has arrested Hussain alias Shahid who was wanted in the case of pelting stones on Vande Bharat.
The accused was handed over to RPF.
After interrogation, accused Hussain alias Shahid has been handed over to Railway Protection Force, Vyasnagar, Chandauli by UP ATS Field Unit Varanasi for further legal action. Further legal action in the case is being taken by the Railway Protection Force, Vyasnagar, Chandauli.
