China Icbm Missile Test 17272388

China has tested an intercontinental missile (ICBM) in the Pacific Ocean. China informed us about this test on Wednesday. This intercontinental missile can pose a threat to America, Taiwan, and Japan. The Global Times quoted the Defense Ministry as saying that this missile carrying a dummy weapon was fired by the Rocket Force of the People’s Liberation Army. The missile was dropped on the high seas of the Pacific Ocean.

The missile hit the target

China has said that this missile test was part of the country’s annual training plan. It was not targeted towards any specific country or target. According to China’s Defense Ministry, the missile test tested weapon performance and the effectiveness of military training and achieved its goals.

Information given for the first time since 1989

What is also special is that China has reported successful atmospheric testing of ICBM for the first time since 1989. The first test of Chinese ICBM took place in May 1980 and since then most of China’s nuclear weapon tests have been conducted underground.

These countries may be worried.

This move by China is likely to increase international concerns about nuclear weapons. On the other hand, Beijing says that it follows the policy of no first use. Let us tell you that China is having a dispute with many countries including America, Japan, the Philippines, and Taiwan in the South China Sea.

China has 500+ nuclear weapons.

According to Reuters, China has more than 500 nuclear weapons. Around 350 of these are ICBMs. It is expected that China will have more than 1000 nuclear weapons by 2030. The Pentagon has said in its report that the Chinese army is building hundreds of secret missiles for land-based ICBMs.
