BJP MP from Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh and actress Kangana Ranaut is often in the news for her statements. Now Kangana has once again given a statement related to farmers. However, the BJP has distanced itself from this statement of Kangana. The party says that this is her statement. Meanwhile, Congress has surrounded the BJP over Kangana’s statement. Congress said that the ruling party is trying to bring back the three laws repealed in 2021 and Haryana will give a befitting reply to this.
Congress surrounded the BJP on the issue.
Congress shared a video of Kangana Ranaut on the social media platform ‘X’, in which she said, “The agricultural laws that have been repealed should be brought back. I think this can be controversial. The laws should be brought back in the interest of the farmers. The farmers themselves should demand it so that there is no hindrance to their prosperity.” In a post with the video, the Congress said, “The three black laws imposed on the farmers should be brought back: This has been said by BJP MP Kangana Ranaut. More than 750 farmers of the country were martyred, then the Modi government woke up and these black laws were withdrawn.” Congress alleged that the BJP MP plans to bring back these laws.
What did the BJP say about the MP’s statement?
The Mandi MP recently created a controversy by saying that the government should repeal the three agricultural laws, which were withdrawn after a long protest by farmers. BJP reacted to his statement and called it a personal statement. BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia said, “BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s statement on the agricultural bills withdrawn by the central government is going viral on social media platforms. I want to make it clear that this statement is her statement.” Ranaut is not authorized to make such a statement on behalf of BJP and it does not reflect BJP’s view on agricultural bills.
Kangana reacted to the BJP’s response.
Responding to this, Kangana said, “Of course, my views on the farmers’ laws are personal and they do not represent the party’s stand on those Bills. Thank you.”
