The domestic stock market opened at a record high on Monday. Benchmark equity indices started the trading session on a positive note. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty 50 opened 0.25% higher at 25,856.05, while the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex rose 150 points to open at 84,693. The broader indices opened in the green during early trade. Similarly, the Bank Nifty index opened 11 points lower at 53,783.

At the start of trading, Bharti Airtel, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Auto, Divi’s Labs, and M&M were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while ICICI Bank, Hindalco, IndusInd Bank, HCL Tech, and Axis Bank were among the losers.

Auto stocks also saw a rise in today’s trading. Madrasan, TVS Motor, and M&M were the top gainers. Madrasan saw the highest rise of 3.41 percent. Apart from this, Glenmark Pharma shares saw a rise of 7% in pharma. Apart from this, Hind Rectifiers has received an order of more than Rs 200 crore from Indian Railways, which has supported the trend in the company’s stock.
