Lucknow:  After the Supreme Court’s order to stop bulldozer action across the country, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has launched a major attack on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP. Akhilesh Yadav said that justice cannot be done through bulldozers. It was unconstitutional. It was to scare people. The bulldozer was deliberately to suppress the voice of the opposition. I thank the Supreme Court for this order which has stopped the bulldozer action.

Akhilesh Yadav attacked BJP

Akhilesh Yadav attacked the BJP and said that CM Yogi, the UP government, and the BJP people glorified the ‘bulldozer’ as if it was justice. Now that the Supreme Court has given instructions, I think the bulldozer action will stop and justice will come through the court.

Bulldozer action is banned till October 1

Let us tell you that the Supreme Court on Tuesday banned bulldozer action across the country. This order was given while hearing the petitions filed against the bulldozer action. The Supreme Court has said in its order that no demolition will be done in the country without permission till October 1, except in the case of encroachment on public roads or railway or water bodies.

Stop glorifying bulldozer action: Court

Also, the Supreme Court has asked the Solicitor General (SG) to stop glorifying the bulldozer action. He said that work has been done to glorify the bulldozer. If you want to demolish a temple gurudwara or mosque located on a public road or railway line, then we will agree with you, but in any other case, it will not be accepted. A bench of Justices BR Gavai and KV Vishwanathan asked the Center to ensure compliance with municipal laws and procedures.
