New Delhi. After Prime Minister Modi visited Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a big announcement. He said that India, China, and Brazil can play the role of mediators in peace talks with Ukraine. Putin’s statement has come at a time when Modi has recently returned from a visit to Ukraine. Before this, he had also visited Russia.

A new attempt on a new basis

Speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Putin said that when the war started in 2022, Turkey had tried to settle. However, those conditions were not implemented. Now we can make the previous effort as a basis to start talks afresh.

Peace summit should be held in India

Let us tell you that Putin had laid down conditions to stop the war in 2022. Putin had said that Ukraine would have to withdraw its troops from Luhansk, Kherson, Donetsk, and Zaporizhia. Ukraine had refused to accept these conditions of Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had said that it would be good if the second peace summit was held in India.
