The circle rate of Sadar tehsil of Ayodhya district will increase by 200 percent from Wednesday next month. Officials gave this information. Ayodhya Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal said that a notice has been published for the increase in circle rate and the exact circle rate will be released in the first week of next month. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that the circle rate has been increased to benefit the people of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The circle rate will increase up to 200 times

Ayodhya’s Additional Inspector General (Stamp) Yogendra Singh said that land near the Ram Mandir area and along the highway has been purchased at prices ranging from 41 percent to 1,235 percent higher than the circle rate in the last three years. In such a situation, it is estimated that the circle rates of land in major areas will increase by 200 percent. After the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, the prices of land here are increasing rapidly. Investors, real estate companies, and big hotel chains are buying land in Ayodhya at high prices.

The Pran Pratishtha of Ram Mandir was done on 22 January

On January 22 this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi consecrated the idol of Lord Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya. The landowners are being paid as per the circle rate through bank transfer and a large amount is being given in cash. According to officials, the district administration will issue a new circle rate after September 4, the process of which has been completed. On the instructions of Ayodhya District Magistrate CV Singh, the process of revision of the valuation list in the district has been finalized under Rule 4 of Uttar Pradesh Stamp (Valuation of Property) 1997.

Property prices are skyrocketing

The SDM, Tehsildar, and Sub Registrar have jointly conducted the survey and the revised circle rate for the year 2024 has been prepared. Property rates have been skyrocketing following massive construction activity in and around the city due to the Prana Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Mandir in January. Taking note of this, the District Magistrate has proposed to increase the circle rate as per the current market dynamics. The rates here were last revised in 2017. The final rate list which will provide clarity to interested buyers about the amount of increase will be publicly available in the first week of next month.
