Let us know what the junior doctors have demanded.

What was CM Mamata’s appeal?

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had said in the TMC Chhatra Parishad rally that I have been sympathetic to the doctors from the beginning because they are demanding justice for their colleagues. We have not taken any action against them, even though so many days have passed since the incident. We understand your pain. But, please return to work now, because the patients are very upset.

What did the doctors say?

The doctors’ forum has taken out a rally in the Shyambazar area in the northern part of Kolkata to demand their demands. A member of the West Bengal Junior Doctors Forum said, “We are happy to know that the Chief Minister is supporting our cause. We want to return to work but it is not possible right now because our demands have not been met.”

Doctors made this demand

A member of the West Bengal Junior Doctors Forum has said that they will not withdraw the agitation until all their demands are met, including justice for the victim female doctor of RG Kar Hospital. The junior doctors have demanded the suspension of the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, from health services and similar action against the Kolkata Police Commissioner.
